2025 Consult for America Case Competition Sponsored by Capital One
Capital One is pleased to sponsor the sixth annual UPenn Consult for America case competition. Students will have a chance to showcase their problem-solving skills and develop innovative solutions for the future of financial services. Along the way, we hope to give you a little window into what life is like working at Capital One through exclusive information sessions and networking sessions.
Competition Details
Eligibility: Students will enter as teams of 3 - 5 and must be enrolled as full-time, undergraduate university students. Individual entries are permitted and will be matched with other individual entries to form a team.
Case Theme: Crafting a credit card strategy to win with Young Adults. No previous financial services background is required to participate. The exact prompt and supporting materials will be released the week of the competition.
Format: This case competition will be held virtually. Teams will be expected to prepare a short written presentation (10-15 slides) for review. Selected teams will then be invited to present their ideas to judges, followed by a short Q&A session.

Please reference and consult email communications for registration. All events will be held over Zoom — kindly note registration deadlines as published on relevant communication materials.

Following kick-off, teams will receive a fact pack containing data and information pertaining to the prompt. However, you are encouraged to do additional research outside of the provided materials.

There are a total of two rounds of judging that will be conducted by Capital One. The first round will be an asynchronous evaluation of your slide decks according to a rigorous and standardized assessment rubric. The second round will be conducted live (virtually), which will consist of a 15-minute presentation (supported by slides) and 5 minutes of Q&A.

We do ask teams to limit their slidedeck, including any title or appendix pages, to a maximum of 20 pages.

After uploading your Case Submission on Monday, April 8, 2024 11:59pm ET, select finalist teams will be notified of their status by Wednesday, April 10, 2024

This year, we are delighted to announce a total prize pool of up to USD $8,750. For our first place team, we’ll be pleased to award USD $1,000 per team member. The second place team will receive USD $500 per member while third place team will receive USD $250 per member.
